The Parish Pastoral Council meets every six weeks. This representative body accepts responsibility for pursuing the mission of our Parish. The active commitment and involvement of this group is vital for the future of our Parish.
You may be interested in joining the legion of people who dedicate their time to ensure the Parish is running effectively, and in a
welcoming way. Volunteers are sought for the following rosters:
• Set Up & Clean (Church);
• Book Shop;
• Gardening & Maintenance;
• Special Ministers of the Eucharist;
• Musical accompaniment & cantors; and other rosters.

The Parish Office operates from 9am to 4pm, Tuesday through to Friday. works on Tuesday and Wednesday, and works on Thursday and Friday. At other times there is often someone available with whom a message can be left. Most enquiries made either in person, via email or on the answering machine are dealt with very quickly.
We ask that you be in touch with or the Parish House staff as soon as possible so that necessary arrangements can be made.
The Parish has a very dedicated group of people who visit the sick and housebound. They provide transport for the elderly and in emergencies assist with meals, give company, and friendship. For further information please contact us.
This group visits sick people in their homes, in nursing homes and hospitals in the area, to administer Eucharist. This is usually on a Sunday morning. For further information, please contact us.
The Community House is a warm, friendly place where people can come together to learn, share, chat, meet others and to enjoy themselves. It offers a wide range of programmes for all ages. Classes include craft, woodwork, and computer courses. For further information, please contact us.
Each Sunday during school terms, children are invited to the community house for a ½ hour from the 10:30am Sunday Mass at Holy Spirit, where they are taught the Word of God at a level suited to pre-primary and primary aged children. Volunteers are always needed, although are only required once every six weeks. If you would like to assist, please contact us.
This wonderful publication has many interesting articles, some written by parishioners. It is a great commnunity builder and source of information, with photos and articles about events within the Parish a highlight. Advertising space is available for all. The magazine is published quarterly, and if you can help in any way, including taking out advertising space, please contact us.
Our major fundraisers each year are our October Fun Fete and the Combined Catholic Parishes Raffle. We always need helpers! If you're interested, please contact us.
Little Spirits is a play group for young mums and their pre-schoolers. It is a great way to meet other mums in the parish. Join them every Thursday morning from 9:30am to 11:00am for a fun filled morning of activities. The playgroup is run by mums who understand the needs of toddlers, and everyone has the opportunity to give input regarding themes and activities. It costs $20 per term, per family. All pre-schoolers are welcome!
After school RE lessons are held every Tuesday afternoon from 4:00pm to 5:00pm during school terms. High Spirits is for primary children attending non-Catholic schools. It prepares them for the various Sacraments, and helps them in their knowledge, understanding and practice of their Catholic faith. For further information, please contact us.
Preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation in our parish is based on a Family Program. Parents are the ones who have the prime responsibility and joy of preparing their children to receive the sacraments, within a strong framework of support in the Parish and through small home group meetings.
