| Main Function / Purpose: | Liturgical and Celebration, Faith and Witness - The family-based Sacramental program at Holy Spirit is unique to our parish,
developed out of the culture and history of our faith community over thirty years and remains an
important and integral part of the Holy Spirit experience. The parish takes very seriously its duty
and obligation to support the parents in the faith formation of their children. The promise spoken at
their child's baptism, to do "all in your power to bring him/her up in the practice of the Catholic
faith" was made in the context of both family and faith community. Family catechesis is a central component of living out the parish mission expressed in our vision statement "Our Parish is an open and extended family; Celebrating our faith in Jesus together; Committed to the Challenges of Christ in our world today; And constantly reaching out with love and compassion to all." |
